THIS year’s Emergency Services Show is offering people more than ever before, with opportunities to take part in a myriad of exciting activities.

Visitors to the event, held at Hullavington airfield, will be able to take a ride in a fire engine, a police car, a sports car or even a helicopter.

Turwestern Helicopters will be on site throughout the day (weather permitting), offering a bird’s eye view of the showground.

For just £35, visitors will be able to enjoy a five minute flight with them in a Bell 206 B3 Jetranger helicopter or pay an extra £10 to experience an ‘adrenaline flight’, where the pilot will test your nerves with exciting climbs and turns.

There will also be opportunities to ride in fire engines, take a blue light trip down the Hullavington runway in a police car and ride alongside an experienced racing driver.

This year celebrating its tenth event, the Emergency Services Show is organised by a team of volunteers from Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service, Wiltshire Police and South Western Ambulance Service, amongst others.

Since the first Show in 2005, more than £115,000 has been donated to groups that support the work of the emergency services, and the show committee has recently become a registered charity in its own right.
