CYCLISTS descended on Crudwell in droves this weekend to take part in the annual 24 hour bike ride.
A total of 39 teams turned up on the day with a broad range of ages and cycling abilities represented on the starting line.
As well as teams of friends from within the village groups from Minety and Oaksey also put in a showing with volunteers from Crudwell’s Scouts, Guides and Brownies running a refreshments tent on site.
Every one of the teams was raising money for good causes including Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Help for Heroes, Cancer Research UK and many more.
During the first sponsored ride the funds were all directed towards the construction of a new village hall but the event was so successful that it raised the money just 3 years later.
Since then the ride has raised more than £230,000 for a variety of good causes and shows no sign of slowing down.
