A DRESSED-UP duck from Lechlade has been crowned the winner of a top Cotswold competition.
Lechlade Duck Race 2015 was held on May bank holiday Monday and thousands of people turned out to race little plastic ducks, eat ice cream and browse the small, local stalls. As well as the race, the event hosted the popular Duck Idol competition, where local firms dress up large plastic ducks in a creative and unique fashion.
Owner of Lechlade business Fabulous Party Ware Hayley Bryon decorated Fabulous Frankie, a large plastic yellow duck to enter into the Duck Idol competition. She was overjoyed when she was declared the winner.
"I think she was worthy of the win!" said Hayley. "She is fabulous don't you think?"
Fabulous Frankie was decorated with a blonde wig, cool white sunglasses, a bow tie, a pink crown, a funky bright dress and more accessories.
Her owner Hayley is taking her on a tour of the country later this year to show her off some more.
