A FIRE crew was needed in Gloucestershire after a planter put out for a town’s Britain in Bloom celebration were set on fire.
Police in Tewkesbury are appealing for information after a flower tub, which was part of the town's display for this year's Britain in Bloom competition, was set on fire.
The incident, near to the St Richard's Hospice charity shop in the High Street, was reported to police at about 11.45am yesterday after fire crews were called to put out the flames.
The barrel had been set alight with hot ashes; a second tub had its flowers and plants ripped out.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 101, quoting incident 144 of April 29.
