Siddington Sports 2 Oaksey 6
A HAT-TRICK from the league's top scorer Phil Hall in the opening 45 minutes paved the way for Oaksey's 6-2 victory at Siddington Sports.
Both sides lost a number of players on the morning of the game and neither team fielded a substitute, with Siddington forced to use 56-year-old Steve Wickens.
Oaksey raced to half-time with a 4-1 lead thanks to goals from Hall and a Toby Horton header from Hall’s corner. Aaron Kharud had equalised soon after Hall's seventh-minute opener.
The visitors added two more in the second half through Horton and Jake Pinnell, while Siddington’s Aidan Cressey scored a consolation goal.
One of Oaksey's lesser lights, Scott Duffus, had a solid game at the back and it was good to welcome Mark Lane back to the fold.
Lacklustre Siddington may have had their minds on Tuesday’s cup semi final against Intel.
