A WOMAN working at a pub near Stroud was assaulted by two offenders wearing 'Scream' style Halloween masks last night.

Police are appealing for information after a member of staff at a pub in Leonard Stanley, near Stonehouse, was assaulted during an apparent attempted robbery.

Offenders walked into The White Hart Inn between 11.44pm yesterday night and 12.25am this morning. They were told by the woman at the bar that the pub was closed.

One of the offenders swore at the woman and demanded a drink. He then smashed a glass on the counter and continued to demand a drink.

The victim poured both men a drink which neither of them drank.

One of the offenders took a scarf that the woman was wearing and wrapped it around her neck and face and tied her hands together with tape.

They then left the pub. The victim was uninjured in the incident.

The offenders are described as wearing dark clothing and ‘Scream’ style Hallowe’en masks.
