FAIRFORD TOWN FC are on the lookout for a new management team after Paul Braithwaite and his assistant Chris Green switched to Hellenic Premier side Wootton Bassett Town whose boss Jeff Roberts resigned last month.
Wootton Bassett have a year left of their ground share deal with Cirencester Town FC before moving into their own new stadium.
Fairford Town president Mike Tanner said: "Both Paul and Chris are ambitious and wanted to manage at a higher level.
"Following the disappointment of not gaining promotion last season, the lure of joining Wootton Bassett – with their new stadium on the horizon – was too good to turn down.
"On behalf of everyone at Fairford Town I would like to thank Paul and Chris for their steadfast service, on and off the pitch, and wish them well for the future.
"Paul turned down a similar offer from Wootton Bassett last year when our own redevelopment plans looked to be progressing at pace.
"But there has been a lack of progress and support from Fairford Town council regarding our new facilities, which would have included a floodlit 3G pitch."
Tanner invites any potential managerial candidate who would like the opportunity to work within a club with excellent Hellenic League facilities based at Cinder Lane, Fairford to call him on 07917 861866.
"The club is looking for a manager that shares its values in being forward thinking, friendly and with the aim of a competitive return to the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division," said Tanner.
