TETBURY U11s were disappointed to throw away a 2-0 lead against Bristol side Rockleaze Rangers, who currently sit top of the Mid Glos League. Nonetheless it was a very committed performance by the hosts.
Tetbury Town U11s 2
Rockleaze Rangers U11s 4
Quickest out of the blocks, they had a two-goal lead within 10 minutes thanks to an opportunist goal from Oscar Purnell and a header by Owen Pond off a precise cross by Chevy Sujeewon.
Rangers responded well and before half-time had pulled one back despite some resolute defending from Harry Purnell.
Tetbury started well in the second half, but were caught twice giving the ball away cheaply in key areas. Both times Rockleaze pounced and Tetbury Town found themselves trailing 3-2. Despite forcing a number of corners Tetbury could not find the equaliser and were caught with a sucker punch late in the game.
