One person is dead and another is in hospital with serious injuries after a South Cerney man driving an Audi hatchback mounted a verge and hit them on the A435 near Rendcomb, last night (Friday December 20).
Following the incident, a 43-year-old local man was pronounced dead at the scene and a 31-year-old man, who is also local, was rushed to the Frenchay hospital in Bristol with bad leg injuries and is in a serious but stable condition.
The 64-year-old driver of the Audi was uninjured.
At the time of incident, around 7.40pm, Gloucestershire Fire Service was dealing with a house fire and it is believed there were a number of people in the area.
Gloucestershire Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened and are asking witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting incident reference number 406 of December, 20 2013.
