RUGBY posts erected in a park in Quedgeley to promote the Rugby World Cup have been pulled out of the ground.
The incident happened in Field Court Drive on Tuesday, December 3, a day after they were placed there.
A member of the public reported discovering the posts lying on the grass and a group of children attempting to damage them.
Due to their age and size police are uncertain if this group was responsible for uprooting the posts and are appealing for anyone who knows more to get in contact.
The posts now need to be repaired before they are fitted again.
Anyone who witnessed the damage being caused should call 101 and ask for PC 1528 Jones or PC 1799 Setter at Quedgeley police station, quoting incident 342 of December 3.
