THE inquest into the death of Cirencester stunt woman Jacqueline Anne Balmer, better known by her stage name Jacquie de Creed, and her husband James Edward Balmer was held at Gloucestershire Coroner’s Court earlier today.

James Balmer, who owned men’s clothes store R Scott & Co in Cirencester, and his wife Jacqueline Balmer died when their light aircraft crashed in the south of France while flying through low cloud.

The coroner recorded a verdict of accidental death and told the court that there was no evidence to suggest that either James or Jacqueline Balmer was incapacitated by drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
