CIRENCESTER ukulele band, Plucking Different, have been chosen to support international folk fusion band, Roving Crows, for their concert on December 9 at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester.
The go-to ukulele band from Cirencester has evolved into a favourite live act on the music scene, unleashing ukulele mayhem at festivals and live music venues across the UK.
Established by local musicians, Plucking Different have been rocking the Cotswolds since 2014 and have performed at Cirencester’s premier live music venue The Vaults, The Phoenix Festival and the Lechlade Music Festival.
The band’s popularity is defined by their unique approach to classic songs from artists such as Muse to Momford & Sons, which differentiates the aptly named Plucking Different from your average covers or ukulele band.
“It is a real honour to be asked to support an act known around the world,” said Plucking Different member Simon Townsend.
“The Crows’ have won awards in Australia for their music and we are really looking forward to showing them what we have got.”
- Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets £12 from rovingcrows.com and the Plucking Different Facebook page.
