PERFECTLY situated in the heart of Cheltenham sits Strozzi Palace - an historic Grade II Listed building converted into six luxury suites.

Originally modelled on an Italian Palazzo it is a beautiful building that a lot of local people probably walk past every day without knowing really what is going on inside.

I had done so myself in the past, thinking it could be anything from a casino to a club so I was eager to take the chance to have a closer look.

Mansley added Strozzi Palace to its portfolio of luxury serviced apartments in June - it also has properties in London, Edinburgh and Inverness on its books.

The suites are all named after Italian cities or regions and the building's facade is based on Florence's 15th century Palazzo Strozzi.

My room for the night was the Milano Suite, which like the others has an extensive range of features including a relaxing sofa you can sink into after a day exploring the town, a large and stylish bathroom, Egyptian cotton bed linen on King size beds and a free complimentary breakfast.

It also came with a few added extras to offer a little je ne sais quoi such as feature lamps and tiger print rug.

The Mansley team says it is all about keeping things simple and stylish and doing them extraordinarily well and I would agree with that.

You have everything you could possibly need in the suite for a day, evening or weekend of luxury.

But if you do want to venture out, you are in the perfect place to enjoy all that the town of Cheltenham has to offer - which of course is plenty.

It is very well-situated to access both sides of the town.

These boutique rooms would make a perfect base to explore the town at any time of the year, but would be particularly handy at busy times like the Cheltenham Races and during the many excellent festivals that the town hosts - literature, music and jazz for example.

The Wilson Art Gallery is just a stone's throw away, as is the beautiful Promenade with its multitude of shops, cafes and restaurants - busy at any time of the year.

On the other side you have the brilliant and bustling Brewery with its own wide range of restaurants, bars and two cinemas, one of which is like watching a movie in the comfort of your own front room.

A secure entry system and no reception makes coming and going a breeze and car parking is just 30 metres away.

With only six suites it is a quiet and relaxing environment in which to unwind.

Throughout your stay at Strozzi Palace you can also enjoy complimentary access to swimming and gym facilities at Fitness First in the nearby Brewery.

Strozzi Palace is perfectly located and offers everything you need in order to enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the beautiful and vibrant town of Cheltenham.

So if you are thinking of visiting soon, then make having a room in your own palace a priority.
