A PLAY that received rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe last year arrives at The Sundial Theatre in Cirencester on Tuesday, January 24.
We Are Brontë is a madcap reimagining of the Brontë myth, presented in Publick Transport’s irreverent and playful style.
Morecambe and Wise meets David Lynch as two performers take the real and imaginary worlds of Yorkshire’s literary siblings as their inspiration and combine rigorous physical theatre with anarchic comedy, deconstructing the gothic themes of love, madness and revenge.
Producer in Residence Duncan Walthew who saw the show at the Edinburgh Festival said: “One of the most exciting things about my job is being able to book successful shows from the Edinburgh Festival for the Sundial Theatre.
"We Are Brontë is a very funny ‘send-up’ of the Brontës and their world that some of our audience will be familiar with from the BBC’s recent ‘To Walk Invisible’.”
- Tuesday, January 24. 7.30pm.
- Book online at sundial-theatre.co.uk or call 0333 666 3366. £12, £10 concessions.
