MELROSE Ceilidh Band will be using singing as well as instruments to play for the dancing at the Stroud Subscription Rooms on Saturday, December 3 at 8pm.
Nancy Kerr and James Fagan will be joined by legendary Sheffield Duo Richard and Jess Arrowsmith and top bass man Nigel Holmes.
Nancy Kerr is a celebrated folk musician and has won six Folk Awards from BBC Radio 2.
She and James Fagan are one of the most established and respected duos on the folk scene.
Jess and Richard Arrowsmith are established dance musicians. Jess's self-penned songs have been performed and recorded by a range of other artists.
This will be a dance to remember, with pumping box, powerful bouzouki and twin fiddle tunes as well as a few vocal surprises from the harmony singers.
English Ceilidh is energetic, upbeat barn dancing, which is fast, fun and a great way to meet new people.
You don’t need to bring a partner and it doesn’t matter if you haven’t done it before.
The caller, Fee Lock, will walk you through every dance and prompt you as you dance.
- Tickets in advance £11 concessions £10. £12 (£11) on the door.
