THE Everyman Theatre is looking for talented and enthusiastic young people aged between 11-19 years old to take part in the next performance by The Everyman’s Young Peoples Invitation Company.
Last year a group of 17 teenagers performed the classic American play ‘Our Town’ by Thornton Wilder and this year they are tackling another challenging classic text, The Visit by Friedrich Durrenmatt.
The project will rehearse in the October and February half-term holidays and then perform in the Everyman Studio Theatre in April 2017.
Head of education at the Everyman, Louise Partridge said: “As part of the programme the group will work with a variety of industry professionals to explore theatre techniques developing their understanding of how to create black comedy, absurdism, mime, and physical theatre.
"They will have visiting theatre practitioners, makeup and design artists and clowns to help develop it into an exciting and innovative piece of theatre.”
- If you are interested in joining the company please contact louise.partridge@everymantheatre.org.uk or book a place through the theatre’s box office on 01242 572573.
