SINGER-songwriter John McCullagh will play an intimate solo show live at Woodchester’s Convent near Stroud on Thursday, February 25.

Discovered by Alan 'Oasis' McGee in a pub when he was just 14, Doncaster's McCullagh has since released two albums on 359 McGee’s Records, supported the likes of Babyshambles, Alabama 3 and the Enemy and scored fans the likes of Cast, Richard Hawley, The Strypes and even Courtney Love - and he is still only 17.

Following a tour of UK venues surrounding the release of the ‘New Born Cry' LP and festival appearances in 2015, Woodchester Convent will be his first show of 2016.

Stepping back from the ripping full live sets with backing band The Escorts on this occasion, John will be taking things down a touch with a stripped down solo set.

Influenced by the likes of Donovan, Marc Bolan, Paul Weller and Johnny Cash, McCullagh has been playing guitar and writing songs since he was 12.

When McCullagh was just 15 years old, he became one of the first signings to music industry legend Alan McGee’s label, 359 Music.
