TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF 3/116 THE SQUARE (CHIPPING CAMPDEN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 3/116 The Square from opposite the war memorial to outside the property known as Sundial Cottage for a distance of approximately 30 metres. The reason for the closure is install a new water connection for a local business. Please note that the Intend to Notice dated 26th April incorrectly referred to a fibre connection rather than a water connection.
The road is expected to be closed from 8th May 2018 until 11th May 2018 or until the works have been completed. NOTICE OF MAKING OF A PUBLIC PATH EXTINGUISHMENT AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT1980 WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH HNA13) (PARISH OF NAUNTON) EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER 2018 The above Order made on the 24th April 2018 under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed, extinguish the length of Public Footpath described in Part 1 of the Schedule hereto. A copy of the Order and plan may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG and Cotswold District Council, Trinity Road, Cirencester, Glos, GL7 1PX. Copies of the Orders and Order Plans may be obtained free of charge (please quote reference HNA/13/MBT). Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Public Rights of Way Lead Officer, Gloucestershire County Council, Shire Hall, Westgate Street, Gloucester GL1 2TG not later than the 31st May 2018. Please state the grounds on which they are made. (Please quote reference HNA/13/MBT). If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Gloucestershire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections that have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
PART 1 Description of path to be stopped up
That length of footpath HNA13 that runs from bridleway HNA 8 at Aylworth at OSGR SP 10919/22051 in a west north westerly and then east north easterly direction for 115 metres to Aylworth Lane at OSGR SP 11019/22103. Please Note:
This section of footpath is considered as not needed for public use as the alternative bridleway is within 50 metres.
