The following planning applications are those affecting the setting of a Listed Building, a Conservation Area, a Public Right of Way, or major applications and are available to view on our website. Views relating to the planning applications listed below should be made by 22/03/2018 quoting the reference number. NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 119 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 - SECTION 53
THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL SUTTON BENGER 22 (PART) DIVERSION AND
DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2017
On 30 January 2018, Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public bridleway running from OSGR ST 9414-7847 and then leading in a broadly south-south-westerly direction for approximately 203m to OSGR ST 9411-7827, to a new route at OSGR ST 9414-7847, in a broadly south and south-westerly direction for approximately 235m to OSGR ST 9411-7827, having a width of 4m, and thereupon the Calne and Chippenham Rural District Area Council Area Definitive Map dated 1953 shall be modified accordingly. A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Rights of Way and Countryside Section, Waste and Environment, Wiltshire Council, Unit 9, Ascot Court, White Horse Business Park, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 0XAfrom 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £5. The order comes into force on 30 January 2018, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from Thursday 1 March 2018 make an application to the High Court. 1 March 2018
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) Back Lane (Part), Ramsbury; from its junction with Burdett Street to its junction with Knowledge Crescent to enable Thames Water to undertake works to repair an active leak. Alternative route via Back Lane (unaffected length) - High Street - The Square - Back Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 3 April 2018. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic to enable Eurovia to undertake works for carriageway resurfacing, surface dressing and road markings: (b) Woodcote Road (Part), Buttermere; from its junction with Downs Lane to its junction with Heath Lane; (c) Heath Lane, Buttermere; from its junction with Woodcote Road to its junction with Heath Lane (Track). No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 6 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 8 March 2018; (d) A345 (Part), Wilcot and Huish; from its junction with Cold Blow for a distance of approximately 570m in a southerly direction. Alternative route via A345 (unaffected length) - George Lane, Marlborough - A346 - A338 - A342 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 8 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for two days; (e) Smaydown Lane, Oxenwood, Shalbourne; from its junction with C74 Oxenwood for its entire length. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 7 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 9 March 2018; (f) Milkhouse Lane, Milton Lilbourne; from its junction with C269 Fairfield to its junction with C199 New Mill. Alternative route via C199 New Mill - B3087 - C269 Fairfield and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 8 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for two days; (g) Alexander Road, Malmesbury; from its junction with Old Alexander Road to its junction with Corn Gastons; (h) Corn Gastons (Part), Malmesbury; from its junction with Alexander Road to its junction with Newnton Grove. Alternative route via Corn Gastons (unaffected length) - Sherston Road - Parklands - Old Alexander Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 7 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 10 March 2018. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (i) Crab Mill Lane, Lea and Cleverton; from its junction with C81 The Street for its entire length to enable Eurovia to undertake works for carriageway resurfacing, surface dressing and road markings. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 5 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 9 March 2018. This Order will come into operation at 21.00 on 7 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 04.00 on 8 March 2018. For further information please contact Abbie Horton (Centurion Site Services) on 01132775360; (k) B4040 (Part) Station Road/Sambourne Road, Minety; from its junction with London Lane for a distance of approximately 500m in a north-easterly direction to enable Network Rail to excavate slip trench to locate services. Alternative route via B4040 (unaffected length) - B4696 - B4042 - A429 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 3 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required nightly between the hours of 23.00 and 06.00 until 5 March 2018. This Order will come into operation on 5 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 29 March 2018. behalf of Thames Water. Alternative route via Wood Street (unaffected length) - C120 Bushton - C15 Withy Bed - Wood Street
(unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 5 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 16 March 2018. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (n) C246 Court Hill, Worton Road and West End, Potterne and Worton; from its junction with A360, Potterne to its junction with High Street, Worton to enable Tarmac to undertake carriageway resurfacing and maintenance works. Alternative route via Cheverell Road - A360 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 21 February 2018 will now recommence on 8 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for three days between the hours of 09.00 and 15.30. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are possible due to the nature
