SECTION 70 LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1976 HACKNEY CARRIAGE AND PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLE AND OPERATOR FEES
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in accordance with the provisions of Section 70 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, intend to vary the fees for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle Licences and Private Hire Operator Licences. They will be applicable within the Wiltshire Council area as detailed below with effect from 1st May 2017 (or on a date, being not later than two months from the first date, if objection is made). Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) C119 Thornhill (Part), Broad Town; from its junction with C15 The Barton to its junction with C119 Pye Lane to enable Thames Water to carry out directional drilling 1865m water mains. Alternative route via C15 Thornhill - C15 Bushton Road - C415 Broad Town Road - C415 Broad Town Lane - Pye Lane and vice versa. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses from The Barton end of the closure. This Order will come into operation on 15 May 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily until 7 July 2017. For further information please contact Deanna Braggs (Thames Water) on 07377 024982; (b) Goatacre Lane (Part), Hilmarton; from its junction with Iles Court for a distance of approximately 75m in a south-easterly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out Section 81 works. Alternative route via Goatacre Lane (unaffected length) - Combe Lane - A3102 - Goatacre Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 18 May 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30; (c) C71 Fosse Way (Part), Castle Combe and Grittleton; from its junction with B4039 The Gibb for a distance of approximately 260m in a south-westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out reinstatement works. Alternative route via B4039 Gibb Road - C151 Castle Combe - C160 The Pinetum - C71 Fosse Way (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 17 May 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30; (d) B4039 (Part) The Street, Burton, Nettleton; from its junction with C161 (Kingtondown Farm) to its junction with Fredericks Way to enable Wessex Water to carry out Section 81 works. Alternative route via B4039 (unaffected length) - Horse Down - C71 Littleton Drew - B4039 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 12 May2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (e) C377 Monday Market Street (Part), Devizes; from its junction with A361 New Park Street to its junction with C377 Sidmouth Street to enable Wessex Water to carry out work for a new connection. Alternative route via C377 Maryport Street - C377 Monday Market Street (unaffected length) - A361 C377 Sidmouth Street. This Order will come into operation on 24 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 26 April 2017. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction work, surface dressing, road markings and associated works: (f) C268 Stowell Park Road (Part), Draycot Fitz Payne, Wilcot; from its junction with China Cottages in a northerly direction to its junction with C264 Draycot Fitz Payne. Alternative route via China Cottages - C264 Draycot Fitz Payne and vice versa. ThisOrder will come into operation on 24 April 2017 and itis anticipated thatthe closure will be required weekdays only between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 3 May 2017; (g) A342 (Part) Dunkirk Hill and Devizes Road, Devizes and Rowde; from its junction with A361 Bath Road to itsjunction with C249 Conscience Lane, Rowde. Alternative route via A361 - A365 - Spa Road - Snowberry Lane/Melksham Relief Road/Eastern Way - A3102 - A342 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 26 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 5 May 2017. Orders (a) to (g) will have a maximum duration of18 months. Notice is herebygiven that the Wiltshire Council hasmade Order to close temporarily to all traffic to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction work, surface dressing, road markings and associated works: (h) C73, Avebury, East Kennet and West Overton; from its junction with A4 (Overton Hill) to its junction with C38 (Boreham Down). Alternative route via A4 (East Kennet to Fyfield) - C38 (Fyfield/Lockeridge/ Lockeridge Dene) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 27 February 2017 will now recommence on 24 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of
07.00 and 18.00 until 27 April 2017; (i) C120 (Part) Clyffe Pypard Hill, Clyffe Pypard; from its junction
with Bupton in a north-westerly direction to its junction with Wood Street (road to St. Peters Church); (j) Bupton Hill, Clyffe Pypard; from its junction with C120 Clyffe Pypard Hill in a south-westerly direction to its junction with Bupton. Alternative routes: (i) via Bupton - Bupton Hill and vice versa; (j) via C120 Clyffe Pypard Hill - Bupton and vice versa. Closures (i) and (j) will be undertaken in consecutive phases and will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 28 March 2017 will now recommence on 27 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closures will be required weekdays only between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 4 May 2017; (k) C18 (Part) Hackpen Hill/Mans Head/Rockley Road/Frees Avenue, Broad Hinton, Winterbourne Bassett, Preshute, Ogbourne St. Andrew and Marlborough; from its junction with A4361 Broad Hinton in a south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 10.7km to its junction with Hyde Lane, Marlborough. Alternative route via A4361 - B4003 - A4 - C18 Kingsbury Street/Frees Avenue (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 27 February2017 will now recommence on 25 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 3 May 2017; (l) C8 (Part) Horton, Bishops Cannings; from a point approximately 200m west of its junction with Pig Lane to a point approximately200m eastofthe Kennet and Avon Canal. Alternative route via C8 (unaffected length)
Horton Road - A361 London Road (Devizes) - A342 - C351 Pewsey Road/Rushall Road - C38 North Newnton/
Woodborough - C8 Alton Barnes/Stanton St. Bernard/All Cannings/Bishops Cannings (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 20 February 2017 will now recommence on 24 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 for three days; (m) C226 (Part) Seend Cleeve, Seend; from its junction with the A361 to a point approximately 70m north of Perrys Lane. Alternative route via A361 - C20 Bollands Hill - C226 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 16 February 2017 will now recommence on 24 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 27 April 2017; (n) Pig Lane, Norton/ Hullavington; from its junction with C86 (Lord's Wood) for its entire length. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses. This Order which previously came into operation on 20 March 2017 will now recommence on 27 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 for two days; (o) Rudge Lane, Oare, Wilcot and Huish; from its junction with C264 Draycott Fitzpayne to its junction with A345. Alternative route via C264 Draycott Fitzpayne - A345 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 21 February 2017 will now recommence on 23 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 26 April 2017; (p) C8 (Part) Alton Road/Wilcot Green, Wilcot and Huish; from a point adjacent to the property 'Oak Farm' in a south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 650m to a point approximately 150m east of its junction with Hare Street. Alternative route via C8 (unaffected length) Alton Road/Alton Priors - C38 Alton Barnes/Honeystreet/The Sands/Broad Street/Hilcott/North Newnton - A345 - C52 Manningford Bruce/Little Abbots - C8 Wilcot Green (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 20 February 2017 will now recommence on 22 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 25 April 2017. For further information regarding closures (f) to (p) please contact Steve Hawkins (Eurovia) on 07834503477. Orders (h) to (p) have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that
the workswill take the stated durationsto complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for
