Hard-fought win for Bibury over Northway

Cheltenham League Div 1.

Bibury 1 Northway 0.

NORTHWAY arrived on Saturday with a very different team from the one Bibury beat twice last season.

It was the visitors who had the first real chance but Bibury keeper Luce produced a good save.

Bibury started to create chances and a long shot from Shannon went just over the bar. Ben Wyman then hit a post as Bibury went closer and the Northway keeper twice made good saves to deny Huband.

The second half started with Bibury on top; first Kanne Outram fired wide then Ashley Rockley had a shot saved and a header from Outram was also kept out.

Bibury did break the deadlock on the hour mark; after good work from Shannon and Wyman, the ball fell to Rockley who beat a defender and fired a shot past the keeper.

Bibury's Luce then made a good stop to keep his side in front as they held on for a hard-fought win.

MoM: Dan Shannon.
