Rory Sweet's Diva wins Best Playing Pony prize

VAMPIRE BATS beat Emlor S 7-6 to take the County Cup 15-goal finals at Cirencester Park Polo Club.

Rory Sweet’s Vampire Bats and Spencer McCarthy’s Emlor S went head to head on the Ivy Lodge ground for a hard and fast finale to the County Cup.

It was a very close game which could have gone either way right up until the last seconds with Vampire Bats just having the edge after the lead switched continuously throughout. Vampire Bats’ main man John Paul Clarkin said: “It was a tough match with nothing in it.”

So the Vampire Bats lifted the spectacular trophy and the Best Playing Pony prize went to the winning side via Rory Sweet’s mare Diva.

Earlier in the day, Clinton McCarthy’s Emlor C had defeated Nick Britten-Long and Ben Vestey’s Laird/Foxcote collaboration to take the Neil Haig Cup in the subsidiary final.
