Cheltenham League Div 2.

Bredon Res 1, Bibury FC 4.

BIBURY warmed up for County Cup Final against FC Barometrics with a comfortable away win at Bredon.

It took their unbeaten sequence on the road this league season to nine.

Bibury clicked into gear straight from the off and a good early move brought a good save from the Bredon keeper.

Danny Brunton then went close with a shot from distance before Bibury took the lead in the 14th minute Ashley Rockley after he was set up by James Keylock and Ben Wyman.

Keylock then had two good chances to score but fired the first one over the bar and headed the second chance wide.

Tim Bond subsequently had the ball in the net for Bibury but his effort was ruled offside before Bredon equalised with a well-taken spot kick.

Five minutes before the break, a great ball from John Austin found Rockley in the box and he casually stroked home his second goal.

Bibury’s job was then made easier on the stroke of half-time when Bredon had a player sent off.

Bibury started the second half at a fast pace, a Sean O’Neill shot crashing against the crossbar and a Keylock strike going close.

On 65 minutes, Rockley completed his hat-trick after good work from Keylock, which made the game safe.

Bibury went after more goals and bagged a fourth when Wyman casually went round the keeper to score after being played in by Keylock.

MoM: Ashley Rockley.
