NEW Swindon signings Hans Andersen and Troy Batchelor will race into action at the Bob Kilby Memorial Trophy at the Abbey on Sunday, March 18.

Danish Grand Prix star Andersen is preparing for his first season with the club and Batchelor is set for his second spell as a Robin.

They are the latest big names added to a meeting which carries the name of one of the club’s all-time greats.

Swindon co-promoter Gary Patchett said: “Clearly a meeting of the importance of the Bob Kilby Memorial warrants the inclusion of the very best riders in the sport.

“We are fortunate to have two of the Elite League's very best riders at Swindon this year in Troy and Hans. Their inclusion in Bob's Memorial meeting certainly means that this is a title that is going to take some winning.”

Other big names include triple world champion Nicki Pedersen, who won’t be riding in the Elite League this season, and former Robins favourite Matej Zagar.

A host of former Swindon riders including Nicolai Klindt and Lee Richardson are also included.

Doors open at 4.30pm and the tapes go up on the new season at 6pm. A bumper crowd is expected.
