Poulton 2 CHQ Utd 3 (after extra time)
A GOAL in the 116th minute of this cup tie settled matters in favour of the visitors CHQ Utd.
The game was far from inspiring due to a very wet pitch and a strong cold wind.
Poulton managed to take a two-goal advantage through a Steve Andrews penalty in the 20th minute followed by a Luke Richards strike 11 minutes later.
Matt Edgington pulled one back for CHQ just before the interval.
Ten minutes into the second half Ben Saunders equalised for CHQ.
Both goalkeepers, Poulton's Sam Davies and Andy Forshaw of CHQ took the game into extra time by pulling off excellent saves.
The keepers continued their good work into extra time but with four minutes remaining Davies was beaten by a Ben Saunders free kick from the edge of the box which bounced awkwardly in front of the keeper and squirmed home.
