Glos Northern Senior Div Two

English Bicknor 1 Bibury FC 2

BIBURY put up a thoroughly efficient away performance – their third successive victory on the road – to move up to fourth in the table.

Bibury were soon creating the better chances and looking solid at the back.

James Keylock put a header straight at the home goalkeeper and Ryan Bowen fired a shot over from just outside the penalty area.

Just before the half-hour mark Bibury took the lead after Tom Montgomery had his ankles clipped in the box and the referee awarded a penalty which was dispatched into the bottom corner by Ian McSherry.

A mazy run from his own half by Harry Deacon led to the next chance but his shot went just wide.

After Keylock fired the first real chance of the second half past the post Bibury did go 2-0 up when a fine Paul Horton cross from the right was headed powerfully past the keeper at the far post by Dominic O'Neill.

Bibury, still firmly in control, could have put the game to bed but let a couple of chances go begging.

With ten minutes remaining the home side pulled a goal back when for once the Bibury defence failed to deal with a long free kick into the box.
