Malmesbury Vics U18s 4 Wootton Bassett U18s 0
THE VICS U18s finally produced a performance that left coach Steve Chadwick with a smile as they ran out comfortable 4-0 winners against a very good Wootton Bassett team.
The Vics found themselves under the cosh in the first half and unable to handle the aerial advantage of the visitors, and had it not been for the spectacular shot stopping from Fred Findlay they could have come in at half-time a couple of goals behind.
As it was, a Lewis King cross found Ryan Collins unmarked, and Collins was able to coolly round the keeper and slot home to give the Vics a 1-0 lead at the break.
The second half was predominantly all the Vics and when, early on, Lewis Thomas smartly beat his marker from a Dylan Rexworthy pass and then beat the keeper, the scene was set.
Further goals from Collins, and a late strike from Thomas Sutton sealed the victory.
