RECTORY Farm culminated its Spring/Summer Dressage Series with the ever popular Summer Dressage Championships.

The series and Championships were once again sponsored by Sydney Free Saddlery, an equestrian saddlery shop based in Querns Lane, Cirencester.

They provided beautiful rugs for the winners of each section, with runners up receiving an embroidered numnah and third place a pair of riding gloves along with vouchers for all three placings.

Rosettes were also awarded for 1st to 6th.

The first two sections (1A - Introductory B & 1B - Prelim 4) were won by Charlotte riding Tockas Neeco with scores of 70.2% and 70.5% retrospectively.

Second in section 1A was Polly Eldrige and Storm (66.1%) and third was Diane Piatek and Carlos (65.4%).

Second in section 1B was Claire Pratley riding Chopper (69.8%). The pair also went on to win class 2A, Prelim 14 on a score of 70.8%.

Phoenix Lewis and Kapela were a close 3rd in both the section 1B with 69.3% and 2A, Prelim 14 (68.8%).

Flo Finzi and Flyer were just 0.4% behind the winners of class 2A with a score of 70.4%.

In the final class of the day 2B (Novice and Elementary) Serena Norton and Blakehill picked up the highest overall score for their Novice test winning on 75.4%, they also placed 4th for their Elementary test (67.2%).

Annabel Longhurst rode Lilly into second place (68.2%) and Jane Langden on Henry’s Choice came in a very close 3rd with 68.0%.

Sydney Free Saddlery will also be sponsoring the Autumn Dressage Series that will resume on 20th September.

Rectory Farm is a top class competition, training venue and livery yard situated just a few miles outside of Cirencester, off the A417.

It now boasts a schooling cross country course with fences from 60cm – 1m. It’s 50mx80m all-weather arena is available for hire throughout the year with a full course of show jumps, and it is the venue for over 40 competitions every year between March and November.
