MALMESBURY horse breeder Elisabeth Sweet has gained an elite premium with her yearling filly Javanica at the Baileys Horse Feeds/British Breeding/British Equestrian Federation (BEF) Futurity held at Catherston Stud in Hampshire.
Javanica attained an elite premium of 9.05 in the dressage section.
The BEF Futurity Evaluation series aims to identify young British-bred sport horses and ponies destined for careers in dressage, eventing, showjumping or endurance – and an elite premium indicates that the horse has the potential to perform at international level.
Elisabeth, who runs Ladyswood Dressage in Malmesbury, said: “I am very pleased with Javanica’s mark. I only started breeding three years ago as a hobby.
“I back all my horses myself and I hope Javanica will become a premium mare”
Javanica was the highest scorer at Catherston in her age group.
