JULIA’S HOUSE has been announced as the official charity partner of Swindon Speedway for 2015 and 2016.
Established in 2003, Julia’s House provides respite care and support for life-limited children and their families in Dorset and Wiltshire.
Alun Rossiter, team manager of the Robins and Great Britain, said: “It is always nice to support children’s charities, especially as I have four children myself. We are very keen to help. Julia’s House is a very worthy cause.”
The Robins are hoping to raise the profile of Julia’s House and fundraise towards the charity’s new Wiltshire hospice.
Having expanded its community care service into South Wiltshire 18 months ago, the charity unveiled plans to provide county-wide care by building a dedicated children’s hospice for Wiltshire.
They have managed to raise £3.1million for the project but are still short of the £3.5 million needed to get the project fully up and running.
