HOW would you like the opportunity to set a course record at a local golf course?

Oaksey Park Golf Club have introduced 18 tees and any member or non member has the chance to post the new course best.

The record will be set for the lowest 18-hole round with the first nine played from the yellow tees and the second nine from the white tees, Par for the course is 70.

The previous record of 69 was set over two nine-hole rounds, from the yellow tees and achieved by former Cirencester Golf Club member David Carroll on July 8, 1995. It has lasted for 20 years.

Oaksey Park have also acquired the services of PGA professional Paul McCrystal, who will be running his Junior Coaching Summer School during the school holidays.

Oaksey Park Seniors 2½ Woodbridge Park Seniors 2½ OAKSEY PARK Seniors played a home match against local club Woodbridge Park and an enjoyable clash ended in an honourable draw.

The highlight of the match was John Brotherton’s first hole in one, on the 262-yard par four 16th hole.

It was a great tee shot that was in ‘all the way’ and a huge achievement.

The next match at Oaksey is against Canons Court on Wednesday, August 12.
