JESSICA MENDOZA, the Wiltshire showjumper now based at Eindhoven in the Netherlands, enjoyed a host of top results at the Toscana Tour in Arezzo, Italy.
The 2014 Junior European team gold and individual bronze medallist claimed the biggest class of the CSI3* show, the Gold Tour Grand Prix, on board her 14-year-old mare Spirit T.
The combination followed a clear first round with another faultless display against the clock, recording a time of of 38.53sec which was more than a second faster than her nearest rival, the Ukraine’s Rene Tebbel and Zipper.
Mendoza, a UK Sport National Lottery-funded world class development programme rider, secured another win at the Italian show in the Gold Tour 1.40m class on Ramiro de Belle Vue. The talented duo secured a double clear with a jump-off time of 26.16sec to finish a huge 3.03 seconds ahead of runner-up Michael Van den Bosch from Belgium.
