CIRENCESTER Hockey Club's U12s girls team have added the regional championship to their victory in the Gloucestershire county championship.

The girls put up their most impressive display to date to triumph in Bristol.

The team went through the entire tournament unbeaten, scoring an impressive 38 goals and conceding only one.

The result means that the team now go through to national finals in Nottingham, a first in the club’s history it is believed.

Apart from tremendous individual skill, the girls always play as a team. They received many positive comments from other clubs on the day.

Match 1: beat Bath Buccs 7-1 – Scorers: Flo (2), Millie (2), Evie, Megan and Eloise.

Match 2: beat Bournemouth 2-0 – Rachel and Evie.

Match 3: beat Swindon 2-0 – Flo and Megan.

Match 4: beat Kingsland 9-0 – Rachel (2), Megan (3), Millie (2), Eloise and Flo.

Quarter final: beat East Glos 7-0 – Flo, Millie, Evie (4) and Eloise.

2nd quarter final: beat Truro 3-0 – Rachel, Flo and Millie.

Semi final: beat Penzance 3-0 – Megan, Flo (2).

Final: beat Bournemouth 5-0 – Flo (3) and Rachel (2).
