Oaksey Reserves 1 Ashton Keynes 2
ASHTON KEYNES made it two wins apiece in their clashes with Oaksey Reserves this season after a narrow victory on Saturday.
A very even first half ended with Ashton Keynes, enjoying the benefit of a very strong following wind, going in 1-0 up after a superb strike.
The second half gave Oaksey the advantage of the wind and the majority of possession.
But Ashton Keynes managed to increase their lead with a second goal, by virtue of some sloppy play by the hosts.
Both sides battled hard to gain ascendency and Oaksey's efforts were rewarded when Gareth Jones placed an unstoppable free kick in the top corner after he had been upended just outside the box.
Ashton Keynes resisted Oaksey's efforts to secure a point and the game finished 2-1 in their favour with honours even for the season.
