M4 Karting Ciren League Div One
Stroud 5 Oaksey 2
OAKSEY suffered their worst league defeat since the first week of the season when going down 5-2 at Stroud.
Playing with a strong following wind Oaksey had several scoring chances in the first half.
However it was the home side’s Rhys Lewis who took advantage of sluggish defending to open the scoring just before the break.
Robert Lees soon doubled the lead before Lee Worgan with two and Lewis again each scored from outside the box as the ball each time was buffeted by the wind giving Oaksey keeper Kristian Trimble no chance Oaksey regained some pride when Phil Hall scored from the spot and a few minutes later defender Adam Lane netted his third goal of the season.
