BOB ALLEN was the winner of the prestigious Tom Wells Putter held by the seniors section of the Cirencester Golf Club last Wednesday.
The 15-hole competition was followed by a lunch for all 64 entrants.
Bob won Division Two with Michael Staples and Peter Knight in second and third.
Bob had a birdie on the 12th hole which together with three pars was enough to secure victory. Division One was won by Alan Dymond followed by Pat Waldron and John King.
Alan also had a birdie on the 12th, but no score on the second hole meant that he was unable to challenge for the overall prize.
The scores were excellent helped by good weather and the superb condition of the course.
