Oaksey 3 Highworth Town Dev 3

BOTH Oaksey and Highworth Town's development side had chances to win the game but in the end a draw was probably the fair result.

The visitors took the lead on nine minutes when Joe Ouldridge’s cross over the defence was tapped in by Dom Gordon.

Highworth, playing some fine football, were denied a second when a shot hit the underside of the Oaksey bar and may well have crossed the line.

The second half saw Oaksey playing better football and it was no surprise when the league's top scorer Phil Hall turned a defender and equalised from some 15 yards. The home side then took the lead on 62 minutes as a poor back pass found Jake Pegler who scored from close range.

But two minutes later Mitch Webb equalised and before anyone could draw breath, Kyle Webb made it 3-2 to the visitors with a fine, acute angled shot from just inside the box.

The excitement was not over as Hall was brought down in the penalty area and his penalty made it 3-3 on 84 minutes.
