GLOUCESTER make six changes to the side that defeated Zebre at Kingsholm in the European Rugby Challenge Cup last weekend, as they travel to Italy for the second leg of the double header.

Jonny May and Ben Morgan are back after being rested following England duty. Also coming in are Callum Braley, Richard Hibbard, Sila Puafisi and James Hudson. Braley will be making his first European start.

The Cherry and Whites defeated Zebre 35-10 in the first meeting between the two sides last Sunday, a comfortable enough scoreline on paper but, in reality, a hard-fought encounter.

It's a fact not lost on Director of rugby David Humphreys who knows that Gloucester will need to make improvements from that performance.

"The big challenge for us this week with a six-day turnaround, having played last Sunday and now this Saturday, is that it's not a usual week.

"A huge part of it this weekend is psychological, making sure that the players are ready to play. Physically, a lot of the preparation was done last week.

"We know that there are certain things that we have to do better than last Sunday. As has been the case in many weeks recently, we created lots of opportunities but haven't managed to hang on to the key pass to finally put a team away.

"We need to perform better than we did last week, reduce the error count, reduce the penalty count. If we do that, we believe that we're the team that can win the game.”
