THE Caribbean Cup odyssey of Cirencester Town striker Nat Jarvis is in danger of coming to an end after his Antigua & Barbuda side were beaten 3-0 by hosts Jamaica on Friday night in Montego Bay.

With Haiti also beating Martinique 3-0, Antigua now need a wide-margin victory over Martinique in the final group game on Sunday – and for the other match between the top two sides, Jamaica and Haiti, to produce a definite result – to have any hope of qualifying automatically for the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup in the United States next year.

Jarvis was selected in the Antigua starting line-up for the first time on this trip but as they did against Haiti in the opening game, his team went 2-0 behind against the Reggae Boyz.

However, whereas they rallied to force a 2-2 draw with Haiti there was no way back against the hosts who were inspired by Jobi McAnuff of Leyton Orient. Jamaica topped off an improved performance compared to their opening tie with a third goal in the 85th minute.

Jarvis was substituted in the 55th minute when his side were 2-0 down.
