M4 Karting Cirencester League Div Two
Oaksey Res 2 Minety 0
OAKSEY RESERVES recorded a landmark fifth consecutive win – their best sequence since they were reformed nine seasons ago.
The home side dominated the game from start to finish and Minety found it hard to combat the slick passing between Oaksey's midfield and defence.
Predictably, Oaksey took the lead in the first half when midfielder Sam Munton headed in a corner at the back post.
Oaksey should have scored more, although the chances that fell to them weren't clear cut and the half ended 1-0 in Oaksey's favour.
The second period saw Oaksey drop down a gear which allowed Minety to push forward with more conviction. But Oaksey lifted their game again and got a second goal through Gareth Jones, which brought his personal tally to nine goals in as many games.
Once they had the second goal Oaksey were able to coast home.
