Dursley Nomads 27 Minchinhampton 7
MINCH RAMS made a game of it with the Dursley Nomads even though they arrived with just 11 players due to last-minute drop-outs.
Dursley kindly lent some players.
With the wind and sun in the hosts’ favour, the disjointed Rams struggled in the first half and Dursley ran in five tries.
However, the second half was a different story. The Rams' pack dominated, driving and smashing holes in Dursley's defence. It was a game where all Rams excelled, showing guts and determination, and everyone deserves a mention, however man-of-the-match Fraser Smith thundered his way through Dursley to score his first try for Minchinhampton.
Despite the loss, the Rams can hold their heads high after a very enjoyable and competitive game.
Proud captain Beaumont extended his thanks to new players Sangiovanni and Hull and to the travelling Minch support.
