THE Bassett U16s put on an impressive display of 15-man rugby, giving their hosts at Reading a resounding 31-7 beating.
Number 8 Blake capped a fine forwards' performance with a well deserved try, while outside half Mountford scored a try, four conversions and a penalty with winger Norris adding two tries of his own.

ROYAL Wootton Bassett Colts began their league season with a deserved 29-12 win away to local rivals Chippenham Colts A.
Bassett No.10 Tom Fieldsend scored 14 points with a try, penalty and three conversions. Further tries from Jake O'Neil, Sam Haskell and Michael Roshier led Bassett Colts A to victory.
ROYAL Wootton Bassett RFC Colts B gained a hard-fought 17-14 victory at home to Tadley.
ROYAL Wootton Bassett U15s were also in action running out convincing 24-0 winners against local rivals Devizes in their first match of the season.
