CIRENCESTER CC's successful U15s side took on their toughest challenge – playing against and alongside their coaches and dads.
Team Diamond opened the batting by streaking ahead thanks to impressive knocks from dads Ian Frost (73) and Richard Elsey (21) as well as coach Ed Clare-Gray (43no).
They finished with an imposing score of 214 all out off 18 overs, despite two wickets apiece from Freddie Elsey and Rufus Longsdon.
Team Club, requiring more than 10 runs per over, saw excellent batting performances from Freddie Elsey (42), Sam Frost (21) and dad Matt Frost (30no), but the bowlers kept taking wickets.
Joel Frost and James Winfield took two apiece, and when Phoebe Beale took the final excellent catch off the bowling of Theo Longsdon, the game was all over with Team Club falling over 60 runs short.
