CIRENCESTER TOWN boss Brian Hughes’ search for a striker is going down to the wire with a week remaining before the Southern Premier League season starts.
With striker Aidan Bennett temporarily sidelined, Town give a start in today’s final warm-up game at Cinderford Town to Nat Jarvis of Gloucester City.
The 22-year-old Jarvis will dual register with Cirencester Town.
A product of the Cardiff City youth system, Jarvis joined the Tigers in January, 2014 after a spell at Skrill Conference North rivals Brackley Town and Bath City.
While at Cardiff he enjoyed loan spells at Southend United, Newport County, Forest Green Rovers and Kidderminster Harriers.
“Nat’s a big strong boy at 6’ 2” and Tim Harris (Gloucester City manager) has told me he will have no trouble performing at our level,” said Hughes.
Bennett apart, Hughes has a full squad to choose from this afternoon with Jamie Reid having just returned from honeymoon.
Of the new faces, Ed Williams and Matt Liddiard (on loan last season) have signed forms, while the club are awaiting international clearance for full back Gethin Jones who played in the Welsh League last term.
