LECHLADE won their first silverware of the season with a 27-run success over South Cerney in the CDCA T20 Cup Final at Bourton Vale CC.

Lechlade, batting first, were set up for the victory by a 79-run partnership between Brad Dial and Ali Killham. Dial top-scored with 54 while Killham contributed 25.

South Cerney in reply scored 141 with Will Bowers being Lechlade’s bowling hero taking 4-36 off his four overs.

Lechlade T20 captain Paul Godding said: “Its been a good weekend for the club and this is the first of the trophies for the season.

"Hopefully we can go on and win the league and defend our County Cup title to make it the greatest season in our 128-year history.”
