BEN SCRIVENS from Tetbury finished second in the two MSV Racing summer all-comers' events at the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk.

There were cars from many championships entered and Scrivens' Ginetta G50 lined up against Caterhams, BMWs and the occasional Lotus.

A good qualifying session saw Scrivens post his fastest time of 2min 06.827sec which was good enough for second place place on the grid out of the 38 cars entered.

The time represented an average speed of 84:27 mph.

Scrivens made a good start but Mark Rider in a Caterham was very fast away from pole and within only a few laps was out of sight.

Scrivens battled hard against rivals in BMWs and a Volkswagen Scirocco to hold on to second place.

Rider again got clear early in race two but Scrivens once more secured second place after the 20-minute duration of the race to complete a good day.
