Unicorns Knock Out Trophy

Oxfordshire 263-8

Wiltshire 158 all out

Oxford won the toss and chose to bat scoring 263-8 in their 50 overs. They were indebted to a fine unbeaten century from Jonny Cater who reached his ton in the final over finishing on 101 not out.

For Wiltshire, Jake Roberts took 2-39 and Michael Coles 2-53 with one wicket each for Tom Foley, Ashur Morrison and Ed Young.

In reply, Wiltshire lost two early wickets before a stand of 97 in 12 overs for the third wicket between Henry Langford (44) and Young (46) took them to the promising position of 114 off 14 overs. At this point Oxfordshire introduced their spinners who took control of the match as Wiltshire lost their last eight wickets in 24 overs for 44 runs as they were all out for 158 in the 39th over.

Luke Ryan took 3-12, Richard West 3-22 and Francois Vainker 2-9.
