FANS’ favourite Sam Bullas has signed up as a Swindon Wildcats player for the sixth successive season.

Bullas, 23, said: "I'm very happy to be back with the Wildcats for the new season, it was an easy decision to make.

"With the core of last year's team that we've got and the new additions that Ryan (Aldridge) has made, we should be able to continue with the form we showed at the end of last season.

"We were robbed of bringing home some silverware last term and it's about time we brought some trophies back to Wiltshire."

Bullas, who is closing in on 250 Wildcats appearances, won a gold medal at the World Junior Championships with the GB U20s side in his first season with the Wildcats.

He recently completed his Sport Studies degree with a First Class Honours, and is now looking forward to beginning a Masters at Hartpury College.

Head coach Aldridge said: "Sam’s a dynamic player, his passing range is excellent and he's got the physicality to compete on the ice.

"I'm very pleased with how the spine of the squad is coming together, we're looking very strong and experienced but also have youth on our side.”

SWINDON will play Bracknell Bees home and away on consecutive days in Sepetember as part of their pre-season schedule.

The Bees come to the Swindon Ice Arena on Saturday, September 6 at 5:45pm and the Wildcats travel to the John Nike Leisuresport Complex, Bracknell on Sunday, September 7.
