FOREST GREEN ROVERS are searching for the next James Norwood as open youth trials kick-off this month, writes Ashley Loveridge.
Head of youth Scott Bartlett is looking for players in the U7s-U16s age group with assessment days held at Rovers’ training ground, The Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester.
Bartlett said: "The open trials give talented boys an opportunity to showcase their abilities to our coaches in a fun but professional environment at our fantastic training venue, the Royal Agricultural University.
“Our trials are set over three separate dates giving players the best opportunity to shine.
“Sessions will be structured to involve all areas of football and will combine coaching sessions and matches.
“If you would like to be part of a friendly but professional club and want to play football in superb surroundings with a realistic and clear pathway we would love to hear from you.
The dates are: Sunday, May 18, Tuesday, May 20 and Thursday, May 22.
