STOW ended their league campaign with a bonus point win which left them in a very creditable sixth place in the league.

Southern Counties North

Stow 27

Drifters 3

Captain Tim Peachey should have opened the scoring within the first two minutes but tried to offload a pass when he was already over the try line.

However, amends were made soon after when the forwards won clean line-out ball and drove the maul over the line, with Will Brittan-Jones claiming the score; Alex Kelley converted.

Stow continued to press but could not add to the score then with the last kick of the half, Drifters slotted a penalty.

The second half saw Stow take control; Kelley kicked an early penalty and from the restart James Holmes gathered the ball and outgunned the Drifters defence to score in the corner.

More pressure saw Craig Chapman touch down after some good support play from the forwards.

Stow went down 14 men but still held the upper hand in most departments and then clinched their try bonus point when Brittan-Jones doubled his tally for the day and Kelley added the conversion.
